Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Shrewsbury, NJ, for a Senior Associate. The Senior Associate will handle legal matters related to representing municipalities, boards of education, and other public entities as general counsel and labor counsel. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, providing counsel on all matters of public sector law, school law, labor law, grievances, collective negotiations and representing clients in legal proceedings. Collaboration with clients and team members to address complex legal issues is expected as part of this role. Lititgation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Legal Research, Legal Writing, and developing legal strategies
• Strong skills in Drafting Legal Documents and preparing case documentation
• Adept at Client Counseling, Negotiation, and Strategic Problem-Solving
• Knowledge of public sector law, municipal law, and school law
• Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and in good standing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to client service and team collaboration
• 7-12 years relevant experience in public sector and/or school law is highly preferred
