• Title: Big Data Engineer
• Location: Strongsville, OH
• Contract: W2 only, 6 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI
• Pay: $55 /hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
Working within Hadoop Technology Stack and Python programming to build consumer and production apps. This role requires collaboration within an agile team to support data product and data integration activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Working within Hadoop Technology Stack and Python programming to build consumer and production apps.
• Collaborate within an agile crew in two-week sprints.
• Support data product and data integration activities.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of data pipelines and applications.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of data solutions.
Required Skills
• Hadoop Platform utilities - Hive, Oozie, Yarn, Impala, HDFS, Hbase-Hue, Beeline
• Python and Shell Programming (PySpark) - Python 2.7, 3.0
• DSP (Data Streaming Platform) - Kafka Confluent
• Core Java - IntelliJ with SBT or Maven
• Spark - Core, SQL
• Confluence, Jira
• Service Now
• GitHub, Jenkins, Udeploy, Artifactory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player
Required Education
• No Education Requirements
Preferred Skills
• CA7
• Experience in banking industry (preferred but not required)
