Sr Data Engineer/Architect

Technical Expertise

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and optimizing complex, production-grade data pipelines and scalable ETL/ELT workflows.
• Deep hands-on expertise with dbt-core and Apache Airflow, including advanced implementations and best practices.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with extensive experience in large-scale data platforms, including AWS Redshift, S3, GCP BigQuery, and GCS.
• Strong programming expertise in Python, Scala, and Java, delivering robust, efficient, and maintainable data solutions.
• Expert in data modeling, schema design, and database performance optimization for high-volume environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS & GCP), including solution design, security, compliance, and cost optimization.
• Proven implementation of data quality frameworks, governance standards, monitoring systems, and automated alerting.
• Experience designing advanced dashboards and analytical reporting using Tableau or Looker (nice to have).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable, reliable deployments.
• Familiarity with big data ecosystems, including Spark and Hadoop.

• Led large-scale data engineering initiatives from strategy through execution, with full ownership of delivery and outcomes.
• Managed and mentored cross-functional data engineering teams, supporting both senior and junior engineers.
• Defined and implemented new technical standards, processes, and best practices across data teams.
• Expert in troubleshooting and resolving complex, high-impact production data issues.
• Strong track record of influencing stakeholders and clearly communicating complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Experienced in Agile methodologies and advanced project management practices.
