Humana is on the lookout for a talented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support our pharmacy programs and drive success for our Service Fund team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Business Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and assessment of new pharmacy initiatives, while also maintaining existing programs.
• Leverage your expertise in complex SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and other technical tools to enhance process efficiency and manage pharmacy program expense allocation.
• Conduct in-depth research and generate reports on monthly activities, providing insights into data reconciliation and implications for current and future pharmacy programs.
• Assist in crafting reports and fulfilling ad hoc requests utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and various analytical tools.
• Support the payment processes for value-based specialists.
• Contribute to the evaluation of new pharmacy program opportunities.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of data analysis experience, or a Master’s degree and 3+ years of data analysis experience.
• 2+ years of advanced experience in developing complex SQL queries.
• 1+ years of experience with healthcare-related data, such as Provider or Insurance data.
• 1+ years of experience with pharmacy claims data.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formatting).
• Extensive experience working with large and complex data sets in large organizations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with senior and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Experience with health insurance-related data (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Claims, Premium Data).
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks.
• Proficiency in Pyspark and/or Python.
• Experience using tools like Power BI for data visualization.

Work from Home Requirements

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects an estimate of starting base pay for full-time work. Actual pay may differ based on geographic location, experience, education, and other job-related skills.

$89,000 - $121,400 per year

This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan contingent upon company and/or individual performance.
