GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Join the dynamic team at Allegheny Health Network as a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst focused on Quality. In this vital role, you'll collaborate with key stakeholders and senior leaders to create impactful analytics that drive positive change. Your responsibilities will include identifying analytic requirements, addressing clinical and operational challenges, and implementing strategic plans for effective data analysis and insights presentation. A critical and comprehensive approach to problem-solving is essential, along with expertise in consolidating and normalizing data from diverse platforms and sources.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with stakeholders to craft strong business intelligence solutions, identifying detailed analytics requirements and leveraging appropriate data sources and technologies.
Execute in-depth data analysis employing advanced mathematical and statistical methods to ensure data integrity, including recognizing the influence of outliers.
Adhere to industry best practices and data visualization standards while innovatively presenting information tailored to customer needs.
Utilize a variety of analytics, statistics, and reporting platforms, selecting the best approach based on audience needs and future maintenance considerations.
Collaborate with the IT EDW team to design data source changes that improve system performance.
Apply project management techniques to ensure timely project execution and maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding progress and outcomes.
Embrace additional responsibilities as needed to support team objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 7 years of experience analyzing operational data in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in Excel for navigating and analyzing large datasets while effectively utilizing visualization techniques.
Preferred
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Clinical experience within a healthcare environment.
Strong background in statistical methods or advanced mathematics, either through coursework or practical application.
