Leidos is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced security manager to oversee a diverse array of programs supporting our Intelligence Community (IC) clients. This is a remarkable opportunity to apply your security expertise across various settings while providing strategic direction and oversight to SCI programs that drive significant business operations.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of counterintelligence awareness, personnel security clearance processing, and manage physical security requirements for SCIFs within the intelligence community. The successful individual will be proficient in NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, and SEADs and will take initiative to prioritize security actions effectively. Excellent communication skills to convey crucial information to employees, management, and government customers will be essential in this results-driven role.
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage and uphold program security requirements, ensuring compliance with customer standards.
• Handle security clearance processing and provide technical expertise across multiple security domains, including personnel and physical security.
• Prepare and share security policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Conduct briefings and debriefings for employees regarding clearance and SCI protocols.
• Educate personnel on reporting responsibilities such as Foreign Contact, Foreign Travel, and Outside Activities.
• Track government contractor badge renewals and manage SCI and collateral information securely.
• Collaborate with internal and external security offices to maintain strong knowledge of current security regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of security actions and coordinate with various security divisions.
• Interpret security policies related to processing, disseminating, and controlling classified materials.
• Monitor and report on security operations, providing status updates and recommendations.
• Develop and execute Security Awareness and CI training programs.
• Prepare security volumes for Requests for Information or Proposals as needed.
• Conduct briefings for foreign travel and author CI briefings with updates.
• Investigate security incidents proactively and document findings.
• Respond to intrusion detection alerts after hours, maintaining readiness at all times.
• Ensure compliance with SCIF physical security measures including inspections and alarm tests.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (12+ years) in security management.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering various security services including personnel onboarding, incident management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in interpreting security policies and implementing CI risk mitigation strategies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating within diverse teams.
• Proven ability to manage large programs and deliver briefings to varied audiences.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to consult on sensitive security issues.
• Self-motivated professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of operational security, CI issues, and the ability to adapt to evolving security requirements.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with CT missions and experience in challenging environments.
• Skillful in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and understanding of various security functional areas.
• Must possess a Top Secret//SCI clearance with Polygraph or be able to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
• Leadership experience in managing security teams.
• Background in modifying or building SCIFs to compliance standards.
• Relevant security certifications (FSO, CSO, ISP, SFPC, CSSO).
• Experience with SIMS and Scattered Castles.
• Keen understanding of communications security.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $190,350.00
