Electrical Controls Engineer – Freeport, IL (1st Shift)

🔧 What You’ll Do
• Lead electrical & automation projects from concept through completion
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen‑Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, communication networks, and PCB‑level components
• Support HMI/SCADA systems and industrial automation equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot steam boiler systems and related controls
🎓 What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering preferred (apprenticeship or equivalent experience considered)
• 5+ years of industrial electrical/controls experience
• Strong hands‑on PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of electrical theory, OSHA safety practices, and industrial environments
• Ability to work safely in high‑voltage, confined‑space, and elevated‑structure settings
