Job description

About the Company

Our client is a large Physical AI company building intelligent systems that operate at scale in real-world environments. The company integrates robotics, perception, control, and learning to deliver autonomous platforms used across industrial, logistics, and advanced mobility applications.

With deep investment in hardware and AI infrastructure, the company operates at the frontier of robotics deployment, translating research into production systems used globally.

Role Overview

The Senior Robotics Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying robotic systems that integrate perception, planning, control, and real-time execution.

This position sits close to core system architecture and works across software, hardware, and applied AI teams. The role assumes ownership from concept through on-robot validation and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Robotics Systems Engineering
• Design and implement robotic subsystems across perception, localization, planning, and control
• Develop real-time software for autonomous robots operating in complex physical environments
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and compute into reliable end-to-end robotic platforms
• Own system performance across latency, safety, robustness, and scalability

Software Development
• Build and maintain production-grade robotics software in C++ and Python
• Contribute to system architecture decisions across autonomy stacks
• Optimize algorithms for deployment on embedded and edge compute platforms
• Support simulation, testing, and validation pipelines tied to real hardware

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with AI research teams to deploy learning-based models on robotic platforms
• Work closely with hardware, electrical, and mechanical teams during system integration
• Support field testing, debugging, and iteration on deployed systems

Ideal Profile
• 6+ years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems
• Strong foundation in robotics fundamentals, including kinematics, dynamics, control, and state estimation
• Hands-on experience deploying robotic systems on physical hardware
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for real-time and systems-level development
• Experience with ROS or comparable robotics frameworks
• Exposure to learning-based robotics, reinforcement learning, or model predictive control is valued

What the Company Offers
• Opportunity to work on Physical AI systems deployed at a meaningful scale
• High-impact ownership over core robotic capabilities
• Collaboration with senior engineers and researchers across AI and hardware
• Competitive compensation and long-term growth within a category-defining company
