Manpower has partnered with a well known Architectural Firm that has continuously grown their business, with hiring a Civil Engineering Technician! This is a direct hire opportunity. We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Civil Engineering Technician II to support design, drafting, field verification, and construction coordination for a variety of civil infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design work and hands-on field engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Create high‑quality CADD drawings and designs for water and wastewater systems.
• Research relevant codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Assist with Basis of Design documentation, cost estimates, specifications, and technical reports.
• Conduct field/site visits to document existing conditions and verify constructed work meets design intent.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors; serve as Resident Project Representative when needed.
• Interpret blueprints, maps, plans, and construction specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations, field measurements, sampling, and material testing.
• Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Support problem‑solving discussions with engineers and contractors on complex construction issues.
Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of:
• Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and engineering measurement principles.
• Surveying procedures, techniques, and equipment.
• Physical properties of construction materials.
• Drafting and CADD applications.
• Testing methods for soils and construction materials.
• Public works construction practices (roads, drainage, sewer systems).
• Computer‑assisted applications used for record‑keeping, scheduling, and CAD.
