Data Governance Lead

A well-established insurance organization is seeking a senior Data Governance Lead to drive a business-focused data quality and governance program across a major U.S. business division.

The focus is on solving real data problems that impact the business, improving the quality and usability of critical data assets, and partnering directly with senior stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute a business-focused data governance and data quality program across key operational and commercial data domains
• Partner closely with senior business leaders and executive stakeholders to identify and resolve critical data challenges impacting reporting, operations, and decision making
• Drive improvements in data quality, data stewardship, and data management practices across the organization
• Translate business data problems into actionable governance and remediation initiatives
• Help mature and enhance existing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Guide and upskill teams and data stewards across the organization on effective governance practices
• Collaborate with technology and data teams to implement governance processes and tooling (including Collibra and related platforms)
• Act as a key liaison between business, data, and technology teams to ensure governance initiatives deliver measurable business impact

Key Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management
• Strong experience executing data governance frameworks and operational data quality initiatives
• Proven ability to identify and solve business-impacting data issues
• Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience with governance tooling such as Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms
• Experience within insurance or financial services environments preferred
