Construction Project Manager – Storefront & Glazing

Position Overview
• The successful candidate will bring a combination of office and field skills to execute the full post-sales project life-cycle for assigned storefront and glazing projects.
• The position is based in Jessup, MD with daily regional travel required.
Key Job Duties
Submittals & Scheduling – Transition projects post-sales and complete all project start-up tasks including:
• Generate internal project schedule including time frames for submittals, manufacturing and field installation.
• Prepare all submittals and shop drawings in accordance with contract documents.
Material Purchasing & Scheduling – Buy-out and schedule all material and equipment for assigned projects including:
• Ensure purchase orders are accurate including quantities, field measurements and pricing.
• Schedule material delivery to optimize field efficiency and minimize excess inventory.
• Oversee material receiving at job site including responsibility to communicate and manage issues related to shorts, damage and quality with manufacturer.
• Timely review and approval of material and equipment invoices.
• Track material and equipment costs to ensure project is on-budget.
Installation Management & Quality Control – Plan and execute field installation for assigned projects including:
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with Customer and Installation Subcontractor to ensure common understanding of SOW, schedule and job site policies and procedures.
• Supervise installation subcontractor to ensure job is being executed to scope, to required quality level and on-schedule.
• Manage any changes in job scope and installations challenges / constraints encountered during the job.
• Track labor costs to ensure project is on-budget.
Site Management & Safety – Maintain efficient and safe job sites for assigned projects including:
• Monitor Installation Subcontractor to ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and reports any safety violations. Responsible for correction of any safety issues.
• Ensure that the job site is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
• Ensure proper storage and security of materials stored on job site.
Other Duties – Responsible for other duties and tasks as may be assigned.
Skills & Requirements
• Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline
• 5+ year experience in storefront / glazing project management required
• Experience with construction documents, drawings and field measurement required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Job requires physical labor. Applicant must be able to stand for long periods, move over large job-sites and lift at least 50 pounds.
