Position: Senior Electrical Engineer - Medical Device Development

Location: Indianola, PA (On-site)

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have a pivotal role in shaping and integrating electronic design elements within our innovative medical devices. This position will give you the opportunity to independently manage significant aspects of complex projects while mentoring junior engineers and leading design reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
• Define detailed requirements for design elements at the sub-module level.
• Design and integrate medium-complexity electronic components into medical devices.
• Utilize your insights into product lines and clinical applications to contribute to new products or processes.
• Apply relevant industry processes to achieve project objectives.
• Facilitate design reviews of complex designs to ensure quality and compliance.
• Expand verification processes to cover complex sub-module and basic system-level designs.
• Plan and oversee work with minimal direction on projects of substantial technical complexity.
• Lead project teams focused on technical activities at the sub-module level.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers or technicians to foster their growth.
• Develop and maintain productive supplier and partner relationships as needed.
• Effectively communicate across various organizational levels.

Who You Are:

Bayer seeks a candidate who possesses the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a High School Diploma/GED.
• 4-7 years of progressive engineering experience with an understanding of the discipline's breadth.
• Deep expertise in multiple areas within a technical discipline.
• Basic knowledge of various technical fields.
• Technical experience spanning software, mechanical, high-speed digital, small signal analog, and digital signal processing.
• Experience applying worst-case analysis to ensure designs meet performance and manufacturability standards.
• Proven ability to manage the technical dimensions of complex design projects.
• Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
• Strong performance orientation, meticulous attention to detail, and a drive for project achievement.
• Proficiency with schematic entry tools, ideally OrCAD, and mathematical analysis tools, preferably Mathcad.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Electrical Safety and EMC testing standards like IEC 60601-1 or similar.
• Experience in obtaining Safety and EMC compliance certifications.
• Ability to build effective partnerships and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Sound judgment, a creative mindset, and adaptability to change.
• Experience with circuit analysis tools and a mix of theoretical and experimental approaches.

Compensation for this position ranges from $82,190.40 to $123,285.60 annually, with potential bonuses or commissions. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on location, market data, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
