Whitman Advisory is partnering with a well-established regional public accounting and advisory firm in Montgomery County, PA on a confidential search for a Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The firm is seeking a strategic and hands-on executive who can help centralize operations, strengthen internal management processes, and partner closely with leadership to support the next phase of growth.

What you’ll do

• Oversee day-to-day firm operations across key administrative and business functions
• Partner with executive leadership to align operations with long-term business goals
• Build and enhance centralized management structures across departments
• Improve workflows, internal processes, and operational efficiency firmwide
• Help drive accountability, reporting, and performance metrics across the organization
• Support organizational planning, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives
• Serve as a key leadership partner in helping the firm scale effectively while maintaining a strong culture

What they’re looking for

• Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role such as COO, Director of Operations, Practice Administrator, or similar
• Background in public accounting, professional services, or a partnership-based environment strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution
• Experience improving internal systems, processes, and organizational structure
