About the Role

Viderity is seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to support the National Science Foundation (NSF), a federal agency. This role leads the planning and execution of digital communications projects that translate complex scientific research into compelling visual and digital content for policymakers, researchers, and the public.

The Digital Project Manager works closely with designers, developers, scientists, writers, and federal stakeholders to deliver high quality digital products including websites, graphics, multimedia assets, and outreach materials that support NSF’s mission.

This position requires strong project management, budget management, staff management, digital communications, and stakeholder coordination skills in a fast paced federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Project Leadership
• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of digital communications and design projects supporting NSF outreach and communications initiatives.
• Gather project requirements from federal stakeholders and translate them into actionable project plans for designers, developers, and multimedia staff.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent digital initiatives while maintaining schedules, quality standards, and project documentation.
• Track deliverables, deadlines, and project status across multiple digital initiatives and report progress to leadership.

Graphic and Digital Communications Oversight
• Oversee the creation of digital graphics, infographics, presentations, illustrations, animations, and other visual products used in media outreach, press materials, conferences, and public engagement initiatives.
• Ensure all digital products align with NSF branding standards and visual identity guidelines.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts and researchers to ensure scientific accuracy in visual communications.

Website and Digital Platform Support
• Coordinate website updates and digital publishing activities in collaboration with the NSF Web Team.
• Manage requests for new webpages, event announcements, news content, and policy guidance using Drupal and related content management systems.
• Ensure webpages meet accessibility standards including Section 508 and WCAG requirements.
• Support the use of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow to track and prioritize web and digital requests.

Digital Asset and Multimedia Coordination
• Oversee management of digital assets including images, video, and multimedia resources.
• Coordinate licensing, permissions, and copyright compliance for multimedia content.
• Support internal and external requests for multimedia assets used across digital platforms.

Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with federal staff, scientists, communications teams, and external partners to develop effective digital communications products.
• Provide guidance to staff on digital design, web usability, and visual storytelling best practices.
• Participate in special projects including emerging digital initiatives such as interactive exhibits or virtual reality experiences.

Required Qualifications
