Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Design/Project Manager to join our team. This role requires an individual who can oversee and coordinate the completion of construction projects and programs, managing every aspect from design development to construction administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction design/project management and be skilled in using platforms like Smartsheet and Procore to optimize processes.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and complete project/program tasks, overseeing all aspects.
• Manage project execution, including design development and construction administration processes.
• Implement and optimize project management platforms such as Smartsheet and Procore.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize project/program progress.
• Prepare detailed reports for upper management regarding project/program status.
• Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Lead and direct the work of others, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
Essential Skills
• Project Design and Construction Lifecycle Management expertise.
• Team Management and Coordination, including directing cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
• Technical Proficiency in project management tools like Smartsheet and Procore.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Quantifiable project success metrics in design development, construction administration, project close-out, budgeting, and risk management.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple project management platforms/tools.
• Advanced construction administration experience.
• History of progressive responsibility in project management and coordination.
• Experience in strategic decision-making at the organizational level.
• Evidence of team development and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience in project reporting to direct managers and leadership.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in Herndon, Virginia. The work environment requires a strong commitment to collaboration and effective communication with cross-functional teams. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic setting that encourages innovation and teamwork.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits
