Job Title: Project Manager – Space Optimization

Duration: 6+ months (Contract to Hire)

Location: Raleigh, NC 27609 (Hybrid)
• *Payrate- $50 to $65 per hour**

This is an entry‑level Project Manager role focused on a space optimization initiative, where store front rooms will be reduced and back rooms expanded. The position involves heavy coordination and execution, working closely with electricians, facilities teams, and data teams to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.

Ideal Candidate Profile Summary:

- Must Have: Bachelor's degree and 1 - 3 years of high-level coordination or entry level project management experience. Strong organizational skills, ability to manager tasks, excellent communication.

- Must Have: Microsoft Office proficiency - word, excel, PowerPoint.

- Preferred: Intermediate excel experience (pivot tables and VLOOKUP's)

- Nice to have: PMP certification

Hybrid role, must be within commuting distance to Raleigh, NC

Potential for conversion to FT

Work Schedule: 8:00 - 5:00 PM EST

Interview Process: MS Teams interview

Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail‑oriented Project Manager to support a large-scale space optimization project focused on resizing store front rooms and expanding back-room areas. This role involves substantial coordination, scheduling, and task management across facilities, electricians, vendors, and internal teams.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities but has potential to convert to full-time.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate day‑to‑day execution of space optimization work across multiple store locations.
• Partner closely with the Facilities team to support scheduling, site readiness, and issue resolution.
• Communicate with electricians, data/IT resources, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely task completion.
• Track project schedules, milestones, task lists, and progress updates.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow‑up on outstanding items.
• Support store planning and floor plan updates (training provided).
• Ensure clear, timely communication with internal team members and partners.
• Identify project risks or delays and escalate as needed.
• Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring consistent project execution.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of experience in high‑level coordination or entry‑level project management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Moderate Excel skills preferred (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• PMP certification preferred but not required.
