Electrical Revit Designer
Job description
Job Description
Help us build the future and we’ll help you build a rewarding and purposeful career.
Our global network is made up of architects, designers, planners, engineers, and environmental scientists all working towards the same goal.
Join a team that brings inspirational architecture, landscapes, townscapes and places to our world, and we’ll provide you unlimited space to grow.
Who are we looking for?
Our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) is growing and looking for an experienced Electrical Revit Designer to join their team in the Northeast! In this role, you’ll play a key part in the electrical design of power distribution systems for municipal water, wastewater, and infrastructure-related facilities, leveraging Revit and AutoCAD to bring complex engineering concepts to life. This is an opportunity to work on large, technically challenging projects where high-quality, coordinated, and constructible 3D models and contract drawings are critical to project success.
You’ll develop and maintain detailed Revit models, generate contract drawings directly from those models, and apply sound judgment to interpret data, resolve design challenges, and manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects. Occasional onsite inspections and data analysis will round out your experience, giving you valuable exposure to how your designs are implemented in the field.
This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys close collaboration with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, and who takes pride in producing accurate, well-coordinated models and drawings that translate calculations and concepts into clear, buildable solutions. If you’re passionate about electrical design, enjoy problem-solving, and want to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects that support communities across the Northeast, this role offers both technical challenge and professional growth.
Our Hybrid Work Model:
Be part of the dynamic culture! Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.
This role can be based in one of the following office locations: Buffalo, NY | Syracuse, NY | Harrisburg, PA | King of Prusia, PA | Hyannis, MA
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
• Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
• Operational Compliance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
• Product and Solution Development: Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.
• Design and Conceptualization: Research and interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance.
What you’ll bring to the team:
• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or relevant design field
• 3+ years of design experience with a strong emphasis utilizing Revit
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Demonstrated experience producing 3D BIM models and detailed construction drawings for electrical systems.
• Manage multiple project tasks and maintain flexible approach to meet challenging deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
• Possible field investigations and construction observations may be required
Salary Range: $26.00 - $44.00 based on experience and location.
