Job Title: Data Scientist
Location: Trenton, NJ – Local candidates only (3 days onsite)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis, and will be responsible for deriving actionable insights from complex data sets to support business decisions. This is an on-site role requiring strong collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Develop, test, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Create clear, actionable reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, underwriting, and IT to understand data needs and support business initiatives.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple sources and platforms.
• Stay current with emerging data science methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, and/or SQL.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and predictive modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in New Jersey.
