Who We're Looking For: We are seeking skilled welders with at least 1 year of hands-on welding experience or completion of an AWS accredited school. As a Welder, you will receive training at our cutting-edge Welding School before engaging in structural and pipe welding tasks essential to ship construction. You will work with various welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW, ensuring compliance with rigorous testing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural and pipe welding on aircraft carriers and submarines.
• Execute tack, fillet, and full penetration welds on steel foundations and joints.
• Use both manual and mechanized welding processes across all positions.
• Fulfill nondestructive testing requirements, including visual and ultrasonic inspections.
• Receive training in certified visual inspection and troubleshooting welding equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of welding experience or completion of an AWS accredited program.
• Ability to work assigned shifts based on production needs.
• Capable of working in confined spaces and at extreme heights.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs, kneel, climb, and perform overhead work.
• Must pass a Physical Agility Test and a respirator fit test.
