Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Renewables/Utilities
Location: Norton, MA
Job Type: Full-Time, On-site (relocation not offered)
Pay Range: $110,000 to $140,000

Job Summary
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established company in the renewable energy and utility construction space to help them hire an Electrical Engineer. This role supports engineering review, field coordination, and preconstruction activities for solar, energy storage, and substation projects. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative energy infrastructure initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Review electrical and photovoltaic drawings, specifications, and technical calculations
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and regulatory standards
• Evaluate vendor supplied engineering documentation and provide technical recommendations
• Provide field support through occasional site visits to verify installation quality and safety compliance
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure project alignment
• Support proposal development through cost estimating, quantity takeoffs, and manpower forecasting
• Assess emerging renewable technologies and recommend system improvements
• Assist with procurement and material evaluation as needed
Qualifications and Must-Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field
• 3 to 8 years of experience in renewable energy, utility infrastructure, or electrical construction
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and network wiring design
• Experience with solar PV, battery energy storage systems, or substation engineering preferred
• Strong understanding of constructability and cost impact in electrical design
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software; Bluebeam, MicroStation, and Procore experience preferred
• OSHA training is a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites
