Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of AI data pipelines that integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, utilizing preprocessing techniques for optimal readiness.
  • Build AI-driven systems that enhance our data capabilities while following top industry practices.
  • Implement efficient Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and integrate these with our enterprise data systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions seamlessly into operational processes across various departments.
  • Stay ahead of advancements in Generative AI and deploy cutting-edge technologies to improve our systems.
  • Design and optimize real-time data streaming pipelines using technologies like Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and Spark.
  • Create data domains and products tailored to different consumption models, including Reporting, Data Science, and AI/ML.
  • Ensure the dependability and scalability of data pipelines through proactive monitoring and incident management.
  • Implement best practices in reliability engineering, with a focus on fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of excellence and sharing best practices across teams.
  • Develop graph database solutions that facilitate complex data relationships within our AI systems.
  • Utilize Generative AI solutions to address data challenges specific to the insurance sector.
  • Work alongside architects and stakeholders to define and realize the vision for AI and data pipelines, ensuring the integrity and scalability of our environment.

  • In-depth technical knowledge of AI solutions utilizing cloud technologies.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and cloud technologies (AWS, Google, Azure).
  • 1+ years specializing in data engineering for Generative AI technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Generative AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques for large language models.
  • Experience with RAG pipelines and retrieval integration methods.
  • Expertise in managing unstructured data for Generative AI applications.
  • Understanding of vector and graph databases, including their implementation and optimization.
  • Experience in establishing data governance practices and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-cloud hybrid AI solutions.
  • AI-related certifications.
  • Knowledge of the P&C or Employee Benefits industry.
  • Understanding of natural language processing and computer vision technologies.
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects or research publications in the field of Generative AI.

Compensation

The annual base pay range for this position is $135,040 - $202,560. Actual pay may vary based on performance and experience. This role includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring short-term and annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and immediate recognition opportunities.
