Contract Account Manager (Light Industrial)
Job Type: Contract Account Manager (Light Industrial)
Client: Large logistics
Location: Bernville, PA
Onsite Flexibility: 100% onsite
Travel Requirements: Travel might be required to various hiring events in the area
We are seeking a high-energy, people-focused Contract Account Manager to serve as the primary onsite lead for our light industrial workforce. You won’t just be sitting behind a desk; you’ll be on the warehouse or manufacturing floor, ensuring our contract associates are supported and our client’s production goals are met.
If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the "boots on the ground" aspect of human resources and operations, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will be a blend of talent management, safety enforcement, and client relations.
- Onsite Workforce Management: Lead daily check-ins, manage attendance, and coordinate shift rotations for light industrial staff (pickers, packers, forklift operators, etc.).
- Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for associate concerns, payroll inquiries, and performance feedback.
- Onboarding & Training: Conduct onsite orientations, safety walkthroughs, and ensure all contractors are compliant with facility-specific protocols.
- Performance Monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as turnover rates, fill rates, and productivity metrics.
- Safety Leadership: Conduct regular floor walks to ensure PPE compliance and lead accident investigations if necessary.
- Client Partnership: Meet daily with facility supervisors to anticipate staffing fluctuations and address operational bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in staffing, high-volume recruiting, or onsite workforce management (specifically within Light Industrial or Logistics).
- Problem-Solving: The ability to handle "fire drills” like a sudden shift shortage—with a level head.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between executive client leadership and entry-level associates.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Vendor Management Systems (VMS).
- Flexibility: Comfort working in a non-traditional office environment (e.g., warehouse floor) and occasionally adjusting hours to meet different shift starts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Competitive hourly rate or base salary plus performance-based bonuses.
- Environment: Dynamic, high-volume industrial setting.
Why This Role Matters
In the light industrial world, the "human" element is what keeps the supply chain moving. You are the glue that holds the relationship together between the worker, the staffing agency, and the client. You ensure people are treated fairly, paid correctly, and working safely.
