Role Overview
As our Project Manager, you will guide project direction, manage operations, and cultivate lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors. Your travels will take you to assigned project sites as you contribute to our Self Perform work, ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency remain priorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture on-site, mentoring team members to maintain an injury-free environment.
- Support the preconstruction process, including quantity takeoffs, trade coordination, and the development of project scopes and schedules.
- Oversee scheduling and procurement, ensuring precise pricing and scope management while issuing subcontracts.
- Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and samples, ensuring timely submissions to architects and engineers.
- Collaborate with logistics to manage material and equipment pricing, keeping your projects on track.
- Engage with various project stakeholders, including subcontractors, owners, and design teams, to facilitate effective communication.
- Prepare and submit change requests while reviewing subcontractor pricing for accuracy.
- Conduct regular project meetings and prepare monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications.
- Create and maintain an updated project schedule, utilizing Lean principles to enhance project delivery.
- Identify potential schedule impacts and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Document key decisions affecting budget, schedule, and safety, delivering comprehensive reports to the project team.
- Lead the project closeout process, ensuring all final documents and deliverables are completed proficiently.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in MS Office and project management software.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets while building relationships internally and externally.
- A valid and unrestricted driver's license and the flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed.
Location
This position requires travel to various project sites across regions, including but not limited to Kansas City, MO; Tempe, AZ; Nashville, TN; Jacksonville, FL; and more.
