Job description

We are hiring a Databricks Data Engineer to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is hands-on and technical, with a strong focus on data engineering in Databricks and collaboration with cybersecurity teams. If you enjoy building data platforms that power security insights and want exposure to modern cyber, cloud, and Agentic AI initiatives, this role offers both depth and growth.

Job Details

  • On-site four days a week in Miramar, FL
  • 6 Months contract to hire (401k and health insurance available during the contract)
  • US Citizens and Green Card Holders are encouraged to apply; we are not able to provide sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and manage large, complex datasets in Databricks
  • Build and optimize advanced queries, pipelines, and PowerBI dashboards to support security analytics
  • Partner with security teams to support alarm management capabilities
  • Pilot and evaluate new cybersecurity, data, and AI technologies
  • Help develop Agentic AI capabilities aligned to cybersecurity use cases
  • Ensure solutions align with corporate security standards, policies, and documentation requirements
  • Successfully transition new platforms and capabilities to Security Operations for long-term support
  • Verify that accurate documentation, communication, and training are available

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of data engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Databricks Data Engineering
  • Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Python or other programming languages
  • AI/ML concepts and tools
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience working in large, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow through on outcomes
