As an Actuarial Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in analyzing and forecasting essential financial, economic, and market data to support strategic and operational decisions. Your work will involve establishing key metrics, performing in-depth data analyses, and collaborating closely with peers to strengthen our business intelligence capabilities. By assessing industry trends, you will directly influence our organization’s financial strategies and competitive edge.

In this position, you’ll ensure data integrity by designing and implementing solid processes and controls. You will work directly with stakeholders to identify challenges, solve problems, conduct root cause analyses, and develop cost-effective solutions for data discrepancies. Your valuable insights will begin to shape departmental strategies, granting you the autonomy to make decisions on complex issues that significantly impact project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing and forecasting financial or economic data to drive decision-making
  • Proficiency in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on assessing long-term risks and opportunities
  • Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
  • Eligibility for Humana's Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP)
  • Successful completion of three actuarial exams from the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or a recognized professional body
  • MAAA designation
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to present intricate information effectively to diverse audiences
  • A genuine passion for contributing to an organization focused on enhancing consumer experiences

Internet Requirements

To ensure that remote and hybrid employees can work productively, a minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required. Options include wireless, wired cable, or DSL connections. Satellite and cellular connections require leadership approval. Employees working from home in select states will receive bi-weekly reimbursements for internet expenses. A dedicated workspace is vital for safeguarding sensitive information.

While this role is primarily remote, occasional travel to Humana offices may be required for training or meetings.

Working Hours

40 hours per week

Compensation

The estimated starting base pay ranges from $106,900 to $147,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on location, skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.

This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on both individual and company performance.
