Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, and online research
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and pass vetted opportunities to the Business Development Manager
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activity and lead status in CRM
  • Research target markets, potential clients, and key decision-makers in commercial, municipal, and residential sectors
  • Follow up consistently with prospects to keep Eastern Paving top of mind
  • Support the BD team with scheduling site visits, meetings, and follow-up communications
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity targets (calls, contacts, qualified leads)

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or a customer-facing role
  • Strong phone presence and communication skills — you're comfortable making a high volume of calls
  • Self-starter with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay persistent and positive
  • Basic proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • Interest in construction, paving, or the trades is a plus — industry experience not required
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
