Title: Sr Test Engineer – Medical Device
Location: Mounds View, MN (Fully Onsite)
Type: W2 Contract (5/1/26 – 4/28/28)
Job Description
Develop and execute automated electrical hardware tests for implantable cardiac devices. Collaborate with Design Engineers to create tests from product requirements. Work independently with minimal supervision in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software for automated tests, interfacing with medical devices and lab equipment.
- Validate test methods and document procedures.
- Run automated tests, summarize data, and report to engineers/managers.
Must-Have Skills (4+ years experience, flexible)
- C# (or similar OOP) development/debugging.
- Automated test development/execution.
- Programming/operating lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, waveform generators, network analyzers).
- Experience with performing Verification and Validation in a regulated industry.
- Strong troubleshooting.
Nice-to-Have: Regulated industry (medical) experience; test documentation; electrical basics; protocols (RS-232, GPIB, TCP/IP); C/C++; Python; LabVIEW; communication skills; cross-functional teamwork.
Requires advanced knowledge, university degree + 4 years’ experience (or advanced degree + 2 years). Autonomous role improving processes in a specialist career stream.
