DescriptionMetropolitan Companies is looking for an Jr. Financial Analyst to join our team! This role is within the Finance department and may include the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans, financial performance evaluations and reporting, transactional support, and the development and maintenance of budget and financial planning systems, models and key processes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist accounting with month end close and ensure P&Ls are completed and accurate.
- Create and review financial reporting and provide answers on variances in project performance.
- Create and maintain project proformas on a weekly basis.
- Assist with analysis of project financials and understand the numbers, line by line.
- Assist with creating presentations and updates to management according to deadlines.
- Utilize a workflow system management with the accounting/finance processes.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and analytics.
- Continually improve processes and help in implementation of new systems and reporting tools.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseCompetencies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1 to 3 years of overall experience
- High proficiency in EXCEL. VBA and financial modeling skills are a huge plus
- Background in construction is a plus
- Background in accounting is a plus
