Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy reliable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from various operational sources into a new Data Warehouse.
- Develop foundational Data Warehouse architecture from scratch using dimensional modeling (star schemas) optimized for BI and reporting performance.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and transformations for data cleansing, integration, and business logic.
- Structure and prepare warehouse data to support seamless Power BI backend modeling and downstream analytics.
- Automate, monitor, and maintain pipelines to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, data quality, and integration challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on ETL/ELT development experience.
- Proven experience building Data Warehouses from scratch, including dimensional modeling and BI-optimized schema design.
- Expert SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, stored procedures, performance tuning) in relational/on-premises databases.
- Strong background in data integration from databases, files, and APIs, with focus on end-to-end pipeline reliability.
Preferred
- Experience with Boomi (or similar ETL/integration tools like SSIS) for process building, mappings, and connectors.
- Power BI backend expertise: tabular data modeling, relationships, basic DAX for measures/columns, and dataset optimization for reporting (no visualization/dashboard authoring required).
- Familiarity with Microsoft on-premises stack (SQL Server, etc.).
- Experience in the financial services industry (e.g., wealth management or investment advisory), with an understanding of financial data types, reporting requirements, and regulatory considerations.
- A proactive builder who translates architecture into scalable, production-ready data infrastructure.
- Strong ownership of data quality, accuracy, and delivery.
- Collaborative team player excited to shape a growing internal data environment.
