Job description

A medical device manufacturing client is looking to add a Senior level Electrical Engineer to their team! This senior electrical engineer will support the design, development, and sustainment of complex robotic systems from concept through production and regulatory certification. This role is onsite in Durham, NC and will focus on system-level electrical architecture, hands-on problem solving, and improving product quality and reliability across multiple programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support electrical design efforts for new and existing robotic products from concept through production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, prototyping, verification, validation, and certification activities
  • Develop electrical solutions for product changes, including test setups, diagnostics, and manufacturing support tools
  • Improve product quality and reliability through hands-on troubleshooting and system-level analysis
  • Create, update, and release electrical design documentation and test documentation
  • Support regulatory and compliance efforts, including safety and EMC certifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6 to 8 years of applicable electrical engineering experience
  • Strong system-level electrical architecture experience
  • Hands-on experience with motion control, motors, sensors, and embedded control systems
  • Proficiency with LabView and/or LabWindows CVI for test automation
  • Experience with UL, CE, TÜV, and EMI/EMC certification processes

Pay Rate

  • $140-160K + bonus
