Job description

An Investment Management Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Performance Reporting Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for funds and portfolios
  • Calculate and analyze returns, attribution, benchmarks, and risk metrics; investigate and resolve data discrepancies
  • Respond to performance and reporting inquiries from portfolio managers, investors, and senior leadership
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings (e.g., AIFMD, Form PF, Annex IV, SEC, FCA, ESMA, or local equivalents) in line with required methodologies, disclosures, and deadlines
  • Maintain documentation supporting regulatory calculations, assumptions, and controls
  • Validate and reconcile data across administrators, custodians, and internal accounting, performance, and risk systems
  • Improve data quality and reporting accuracy through process enhancements and automation
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and ad hoc reporting needs
  • Partner cross-functionally with Investment, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams, including support for new fund launches and product changes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in performance reporting, fund reporting, or regulatory reporting
  • Strong understanding of investment products (credit, private equity, hedge funds, alternatives)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with performance systems a plus
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
