Lead Advisor is a wealth management consulting and talent firm. This role is for one of our clients, a wealth management practice in New Jersey.

Job Description – Paraplanner

The Paraplanner plays a key role in supporting the firm’s Wealth Advisors and overall financial planning process. This position is responsible for client research, meeting preparation, financial plan development, and ongoing reporting. The Paraplanner will also serve as an in-house resource for financial planning-related client matters.

Client-Related Responsibilities

Advisor Support

  • Provide direct and technical support to Wealth Advisors
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings and follow-up items
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and update financial plans
  • Perform financial plan modeling and scenario analysis
  • Run Monte Carlo simulations
  • Prepare Social Security timing analyses
  • Assist with tax planning strategies
  • Apply time value of money concepts in planning

Reporting & Deliverables

  • Prepare client reports, including:
  • Retirement cash flow projections
  • Gap analysis
  • Estate planning flowcharts
  • Education funding analysis
  • Prepare quarterly performance reports
  • Review of semi-annual and annual financial reports
  • Update client position data (

Data Management

  • Enter and maintain client data for new and existing financial plans

Qualifications

  • Reliable, with a strong commitment to follow-through
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and keep advisors informed
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment

  • Basic understanding of financial planning concepts (retirement, tax, estate, and education planning preferred)

Software: eMoney, Microsoft 365, Black Diamond and Redtail

Certifications: CFP preferred
