Project Overview

I'm looking for an experienced video editor to produce two polished, ~5-minute videos for a nonprofit client. One video will highlight the organization's services, and the other will communicate its mission and impact. These videos need to strike an emotional, storytelling-driven tone while remaining upbeat and hopeful — leaving viewers inspired and moved to engage or donate.

Distribution & Usage

The finished videos will be used across multiple channels

• Embedded on the organization's website and fundraising pages
• Shown at in-person events and presentations
• Shared on social media

Please export in formats and resolutions appropriate for all three uses (1080p minimum for web/events; social-optimized cuts are a bonus but not required).

What You'll Be Working With

• Six interview recordings
• Extensive B-roll footage (multiple hours)
• A full logo package for branding
• An Adobe Premiere Pro transcript with key clips flagged and timecodes provided — you will be responsible for pulling these clips and incorporating them into the edit

Note: Some interview audio may require balancing and cleanup to ensure a consistent sound throughout.

Music

You will be responsible for sourcing royalty-free music that fits the emotional, hopeful tone of the project. All music selections must be cleared for commercial use and shared with final deliverables.

Content Note

This project involves sensitive subject matter, including homelessness and domestic violence. You should be comfortable handling this material thoughtfully and with care. Guidance will be provided, but the final edit must treat these topics with appropriate sensitivity and respect.

Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (required — no exceptions)
• Experience editing interview-driven or documentary-style content
• Ability to work from a flagged Premiere Pro transcript with timecodes to pull and assemble key clips
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and emotional narrative
• Comfortable with light audio editing — balancing levels across interview clips and B-roll to ensure a consistent, polished sound throughout
• Deliver all source files and organized project folders upon completion so the client can make future edits as needed

Deliverables

• Two ~5-minute video edits (rough cut → two rounds of revisions → final export)
• Exports in web/presentation-ready formats (1080p minimum)
• Royalty-free music files and licensing documentation
• Organized Premiere Pro project file with clearly labeled bins and sequences
• All source footage, assets, and exports provided in an agreed-upon format

Revision Process

This project includes two rounds of revisions after the initial rough cut. Please factor this into your timeline and bid.

Collaboration

I will be an active partner throughout this project and am available for regular check-ins, feedback, and support.

Suggested Timeline: 3–4 Weeks

• Week 1: Kickoff call, asset handoff, footage review, and clip assembly
• Week 2: Rough cuts delivered for review
• Week 3: Revision round 1
• Week 4: Revision round 2 and final delivery

What I'm Looking For

Someone who can take raw interview and B-roll footage and shape it into two compelling, emotionally resonant videos with a clear message. Prior experience editing for nonprofits, social impact organizations, or documentary-style projects is a strong plus. Please include relevant work samples in your proposal — especially any interview-driven or cause-based edits.

Budget

This is an open bid — please submit your proposed rate along with a brief explanation of how you arrived at it. In your proposal, include your relevant experience, an estimated timeline, and links to work samples.
