Clinical Data Scientist

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Office of New Drugs (OND) – is looking for talented Clinical Data Scientists (CDS) to join our team and help advance public health through data-driven regulatory science.

Our team plays a critical role in evaluating clinical trial data to support drug safety decisions. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of science, data, and regulatory impact.

We are seeking candidates with

• Strong proficiency in R programming and data analysis
• Solid understanding of clinical trial data and design (preferred)
• Experience with machine learning and AI models (a plus)

Successful candidates typically

• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Communicate complex findings clearly (both written and verbal)
• Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Are self-driven and eager to continuously learn and grow
