Job description

Game Seven Agency, an Excel Sports Management Company, is a full service creative and experiential agency that lives for sport, music and culture. From the biggest moments to the smallest details, we pride ourselves on being in the know and building relationships that matter, for brands that matter.

Our team is comprised of creatives, strategists, producers, designers, project managers, influencer managers, filmmakers, volunteers, activists, ballplayers, hypebeasts, social media moguls, runners, mixologists, party promoters, hip-hop elitists, show-bingers, hot-take havers, vintage t-shirt collectors, fitness fanatics, pet parents, plant parents, human parents, and general good time havers.

Clients include Hennessey, Nike, Jordan, Spotify, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon, Timberland, Oakley, Footlocker, Chime, Fanatics, Bleacher Report, Uninterrupted, and more.

At Game Seven, we believe best-in-class social creative spans everything from stunty ideas to cinematic campaign spots to perfectly timed reaction posts, culturally fluent memes and timely comments — all grounded in strong visual craft and a deep understanding of the brand world.

The Social Creative Director will lead and elevate all assigned social work streams, overseeing creative output across everything from concepts and copy to video, static, and motion — with a particular emphasis on design excellence and brand consistency across touchpoints. This role sets the creative standard by driving concept development, providing clear direction and feedback, and ensuring every deliverable reflects excellence, efficiency, cultural relevance, and alignment within the broader brand ecosystem.

We’re looking for someone who’s led large-scale social creative at an agency before, who’s eager to bring that experience to Game Seven. You’re both a maker and a leader, capable of executing standout work while mentoring teams to consistently raise the bar. You bring a design-forward lens to social systems and storytelling, champion collaboration, uphold strong creative and operational processes, and push for work that breaks through while maintaining the everyday content that builds brands over time. Experience working within in-house or highly regulated brand environments, with a strong understanding of brand governance, IP considerations, and legal guardrails, is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead creative outputs across assigned social accounts, ensuring best-in-class execution across all formats with a strong emphasis on design craft and visual systems

  • Establish and evolve the visual language of social within the broader brand identity, ensuring consistency and scalability

  • Mentor and develop social creatives, fostering growth, accountability, and high standards in both concepting and execution

  • Partner closely with business and account leads to align creative vision with business objectives, operational realities, and brand governance requirements

  • Build scalable social toolkits, templates, and systems to drive efficiency, governance, and brand consistency

  • Partner on new business opportunities, leading social creative strategy and concept development with an understanding of how ideas translate into sustainable content systems

  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader, providing clear direction, trusted creative counsel, and guidance within brand and regulatory constraints

  • Demonstrate fluency in navigating brand guidelines, IP ownership considerations, usage rights, and legal review processes common in in-house environments

  • Stay ahead of platform trends, evolve best practices and translate insights into actionable, design-forward creative recommendations

  • Oversee resourcing and team structure, supporting hiring, onboarding, utilization tracking, and performance development

  • Establish and oversee critical back-end processes to ensure effective delivery of high volume of assets while maintaining craft standards

  • Champion agency culture, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications:
  • 7–10+ years leading social creative for major brands within an agency environment; in-house brand experience is a strong plus

  • Proven ability to build and evolve brands through culturally fluent, platform-native social content rooted in strong design systems

  • Strong visual design and creative direction background with a portfolio demonstrating elevated craft across high-volume social ecosystems

  • Experience working within established brand guidelines and regulated environments, with an understanding of legal, IP, and brand governance considerations

  • Expert knowledge of social platforms and creator tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator), Figma, CapCut, and Google Slides

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Experience managing and mentoring creative teams while overseeing operational workflows

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments across multiple accounts

  • Passion for sport, culture, and music
