Recurring Youth Sports Video Editor – Highlights, Social Clips & Season Reels

OVERVIEW

I'm looking for a reliable, detail-oriented video editor for ongoing weekly work editing youth sports footage for my 3 children. This is a long-term recurring role with consistent volume year-round across multiple sports and formats.

SPORTS & FOOTAGE

• Soccer – filmed via Trace camera system (AI-tagged raw footage)
• Football – 3 formats: Flag, 7v7 Passing League, and Tackle
• Footage is 4K, captured via Trace and XbotGo Falcon cameras
• 4–6 games per week across all kids and sports

DELIVERABLES PER GAME

• Per-player highlight reel (each child isolated, their plays/moments only)
• Short social clip (under 60 seconds, best moments, ready to share)
• Properly organized and uploaded to shared Google Drive library

DELIVERABLES PER SEASON

• Season-end compilation reel per child (music, transitions, best of the season)

LIBRARY STRUCTURE (must follow exactly)

/[Child Name]/[Sport]/[Season - Year]/

• Full Game Archive
• Highlight Reel
• Social Clip

TURNAROUND

• Individual game highlights and social clips: within 48–72 hours of footage delivery
• Season compilations: within 1 week of season end

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience editing youth or amateur sports footage
• Ability to identify and isolate a specific player across team game footage
• Comfortable working with 4K source material
• Organized and consistent with file naming and folder structure
• Responsive communication — I need someone dependable week over week
• Must sign a basic NDA (footage contains minors)
• Portfolio or samples of sports highlight work required to apply

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Trace or XbotGo footage specifically
• Comfortable adding music, lower-thirds, or simple graphics to reels
• Ability to suggest improvements to the workflow over time
