Job Title: Interior Design Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Foster City, CA

Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Interior Design Engineer to design and develop vehicle interior systems. You will work on key components like trims, headliners, pillars, and floor systems, ensuring high-quality design, functionality, and durability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interior components using CATIA (V5/V6)
• Work with design teams to balance styling, functionality, and cost
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure production-ready designs
• Review simulation (CAE) results to improve performance
• Create and maintain technical documents (DFMEA, DVP&R)
• Support vehicle launch and ensure smooth integration of interior systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in automotive interior trim engineering
• Experience working on full vehicle programs (concept to production)
• Strong 3D modeling skills (CATIA or similar tools)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design standards
• Experience working with suppliers and managing timelines
