Photographer & Videographer for Children’s Brand (Vintage Film / Super 8 Aesthetic)

Description

We are Lalette, a California-based children’s swimwear brand inspired by slow summers, timeless design, and nostalgic coastal living.

We are looking for a photographer + videographer (individual or small team) to capture our first campaign with a vintage, film-driven aesthetic, specifically 35mm film and/or Super 8mm video.

This is a highly creative, brand-defining shoot, and we are looking for someone who understands how to create emotion, texture, and atmosphere, not just clean product imagery.

• nostalgic, sun-washed, and cinematic
• soft, natural, and slightly imperfect
• reminiscent of European summers + the California coast

We are drawn to

• real film grain (not digital overlays)
• soft light (early morning / golden hour)
• movement, texture, and candid moments
• children interacting naturally (not overly posed)

Scope of Work

• Lifestyle photography (film preferred, digital acceptable if it mimics film authentically)
• Super 8mm (or similar) video capture
• Direction on capturing natural, candid moments with children
• Delivery of edited photos + video assets aligned with brand aesthetic

Ideal Candidate

• Strong portfolio showcasing film photography and/or Super 8 video
• Experience shooting lifestyle, fashion, or children/family content
• Ability to capture emotion and storytelling, not just posed shots
• Thoughtful eye for light, composition, and texture
• Based in (or able to travel to) California preferred
