Job Title: Supply Chain Manager/Consultant – Medical Device

Employment Type: Contract (Fractional)

Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid – initial onsite required)

Contract Details

  • 6-month contract (fractional – ~15 hours/week)
  • Hybrid role – initial onsite presence required
  • Prefer candidates within driving distance of White Plains, NY

Overview

A growing medical device manufacturer is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations in a regulated environment. This role will focus on inventory control, traceability, and cost optimization, while ensuring compliance with FDA and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain: procurement, planning, inventory, and distribution
  • Ensure product traceability (UDI, lot/batch tracking) and regulatory compliance
  • Optimize inventory control processes to improve accuracy and reduce waste
  • Partner with Finance on standard costing, variance analysis, and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and R&D teams
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to track supply chain performance
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and quality systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5–10+ years of supply chain experience in medical device or life sciences
  • Strong expertise in traceability (UDI, lot/batch control)
  • Experience with inventory systems and ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
  • Knowledge of standard costing and cost optimization
  • Familiarity with FDA/QSR and ISO 13485

Preferred

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Experience in MedTech startups or scaling operations
  • Supplier development / contract manufacturing experience
