YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Android BSP & Device Driver Engineer, you will play a key role in building next‑generation automotive infotainment and digital cockpit platforms. This is a driver‑level, low‑level embedded role where you’ll work closely with hardware, enabling seamless performance across ARM‑based SoCs.
Experience in QNX is a strong plus — and if you are an expert in Android BSP, Aptiv will support your upskilling into QNX as part of your growth.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and enhance Android BSP, device drivers, HAL layers, and platform software for ARM‑based SoCs
• Perform board bring‑up on EVBs and custom hardware, including bootloader and system initialization
• Debug system‑level issues using logs, trace tools, and embedded error‑handling techniques
• Work with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into designs and production‑ready code
• Participate in software integration, testing (unit, integration), and continuous improvement activities

YOUR BACKGROUND

We are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
• 6–12 years of experience in Android BSP, low‑level C/C++ development, and embedded systems
• Strong expertise in ARM‑based SoCs (Qualcomm / TI / Samsung) and understanding of platform-level software
• Proven experience in device drivers, HAL, kernel interfaces, and board bring‑up
• Experience with debugging tools, system logs, error-handling mechanisms, and embedded diagnostics

Nice to have:

• Exposure or hands‑on experience with QNX BSP
• Familiarity with Yocto, POSIX/Linux, or kernel subsystems
• Knowledge of automotive software processes (ASPICE, Agile, Git/Gerrit, Jira, Jenkins)

Important:

• This is not an Android application or framework/UI development role
• This is driver‑level, platform‑level embedded engineering
