Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Microbiological Quality of the facilities and the products manufactured in the plant.
Responsible for the implementation of current regulations regarding the Microbiological quality of facilities, materials and products.
Implementation and compliance with the Microbiology program for the products and the entire building, production rooms, equipment, tools, etc.
Responsible for documenting from the scientific-Microbiologist point of view the cleaning protocols, process design and data analysis.
Responsible for the documented evaluation of the microbiological risk of the different stages of the process and environmental microbiological control.
Responsible for the development/Implementation of new microbiology methodologies for the analysis of products and facilities in the Quality Laboratory.
Direct contact with manufaturing regarding operations that may affect microbiological quality.
Root Cause Investigation of issues related to cleaning procedures or derived events / related to Microbiology.
Responsibility for the validation of cleaning processes, defining from a scientific point of view, the tests to be designed.
Promote food safety through the hygiene of materials, processes and people.
Assist in developing and implementing all sanitation related training for sanitation and plant employees as needed;
Responsibility in new projects, to ensure that it meets the microbiology requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or similar to Health Sciences Microbiology, (Pharmacy, Biology,).
Expert in Industrial Food Microbiology.
Knowledge and experience in the Nutrition and Food sector from the point of view of Quality and Operations (Operations in production).
Knowledge and experience of Microbiology related to the design of production processes at an industrial level will be valued.
Knowledge and experience in the design of cleaning at an industrial level and its verification will be valued.
Knowledge and experience in validation procedures related to cleaning and the microbiological quality of surfaces and products will be valued.
Knowledge and experience in Microbiology of facilities and laboratory analysis will be valued.
Technical training and knowledge of factory processes or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly will be valued.
Specific training in statistics and data analysis will be valued.
Basic knowledge of quality tools and systems that help make decisions or with the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge (CAPA, Incidents, ).
Basic knowledge of office tools, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to synthesize information and capture it for presentation and decision making.
High knowledge of spoken and written English.
With the ability to communicate and influence colleagues and leaders at all levels both within the organization and outside it (contractors). With the ability to foster a culture of quality among colleagues.
Good organization skills.
With the capacity to innovate and to develop work strategies to continuously improve the program.
With responsibility to be able to present results on time (data report, KPIs, etc) and achieve the objectives.
