Senior Data Engineer, Innovation & Tools ๐Ÿ’ฐ Salary: $119,765 - 140,900 per year

๐Ÿ“ Rquirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, data science, mathematics, or statistics
  • 6 to 8+ years of statistical and/or analytical experience
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering roles
  • Demonstrated experience building and supporting data solutions in a cloud environment
  • Proven ability to design reusable components or standards adopted by multiple teams
  • Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deep understanding of banking and financial institution terminology
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and requirements for regulatory reporting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL
  • Proficiency in big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
  • Expertise in visual analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Proven skills in automating and optimizing ETL processes at scale
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native data services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical processes and engaging with cross-functional teams

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป Your responsibilities are

  • Design, construct, and maintain next-generation data product engineering patterns on contemporary cloud platforms, including Snowflake and Databricks
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to fellow data engineers, ensuring consistent engineering practices and high-quality outcomes
  • Develop reusable engineering assets such as frameworks, build kits, CI/CD templates, and performance enhancement methodologies
  • Collaborate with Enablement and Execution teams for implementing and scaling data engineering patterns across delivery teams, acting as a technical reference for adoption and deployment
  • Assess, test, and explore new data and AI tools, platforms, and services
  • Participate in technical proofs of concept, evaluating alternative solutions, and offering data-driven recommendations for platform and tool rationalization
  • Document project outcomes, transition plans, user guides, and solution usage scripts to assist in enterprise rollout
  • Aid in platform modernization efforts through hands-on development, tuning, and optimization
  • Work collaboratively with data product owners, architects, and platform teams to ensure alignment of engineering solutions with the enterprise data strategy
