Company Overview

Primrose Schools operates more than 400 privately owned and accredited early learning centers nationwide. Each school is designed to offer a safe, healthy, and enriching environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Primrose provides teachers with ongoing training, curriculum support, and well-equipped classrooms. The leadership teams prioritize strong communication, positive school culture, and child-centered learning. Their mission is to partner with families to help children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Toddler Teacher at Primrose School, you will play a key role in guiding young learners through one of the most active and developmental stages of early childhood. You will create a fun, nurturing, and structured environment where toddlers can explore, develop motor skills, build language abilities, and better understand the world around them. Working closely with a co-teacher, you will deliver the Balanced Learning® curriculum and maintain a warm, consistent classroom atmosphere that supports meaningful interactions.

  • Implement the Balanced Learning® curriculum through purposeful play and structured routines that support toddlers’ developmental milestones.
  • Build strong, caring relationships with each child, providing individualized attention and positive reinforcement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence.
  • Observe each child's growth and adapt teaching techniques to meet their unique needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate daily with your co-teacher to plan activities, manage the classroom, and ensure curriculum quality.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding each child’s progress, achievements, and developmental updates.
  • Support a culture of safety by following health, hygiene, and supervision standards at all times.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with toddlers in an early childhood or childcare setting preferred.
  • A genuine passion for nurturing and teaching young children.
  • Strong communication, patience, and classroom-management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
  • A high school diploma required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Early childhood education coursework or certification.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive pay range of $17.00 – $23.00 per hour.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance may be included.
  • Paid time off.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive leadership, fully stocked classrooms, and ongoing training.
