Job description

The Data Analyst delivers high quality analytical insights, data-driven decision support, and attribute development for Experian clients. You will represent Experian's advanced analytics capabilities during business development discussions and contribute in shaping analytical products built on bureau and alternative data.

You will report into the Director of Data Science and Gen AI.

What you'll do:

  • Participate in attribute design sessions, contributing analytical perspectives that improve predictive quality and business relevance.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to evaluate data integrity, identify patterns, and extract behaviors that inform attribute creation.
  • Build analytical dashboards and insights reports using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI to support other teams and clients.
  • Assess the quality and structure of source data; validate datasets for completeness and consistency.
  • Perform cross country data mapping and harmonization to support global products.
  • Develop scalable scripts in Python or Spark for data preparation, feature generation, and analytics workflows (engineering-heavy pipelines not required).
  • Maintain clear documentation, analytical specifications, and repository artifacts to support transparency and reproducibility.
  • Translate complex business questions into data-driven analytical solutions.
  • Support development of predictive models (regression and machine learning) and provide insights that guide model enhancements and feature selection.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis; familiarity with R or SAS.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Expertise in exploratory data analysis, feature/attribute generation.
  • Understanding of consumer credit data, financial services data, or similar structured datasets.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities.
