We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a 12-month contract role based in a hybrid model, requiring onsite presence in Reston, VA once a month. The ideal candidate will reside on the East Coast, preferably in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) or West Virginia states. The role involves developing, implementing, and optimizing data science models for production use, with a focus on utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, leveraging AWS services for model deployment and scaling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven solutions. The candidate must ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of the deployed models. Requirements

• 5+ years of Data Science experience with strong focus on implementation and optimization (not just POCs or research)
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architecture, and Generative AI
• Experience with AWS services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, or Lambda
• Healthcare or Financial industry experience Nice to Have
• Experience specifically with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and Kendra

Location preference is limited to candidates residing on the East Coast.
