Summary
We are excited to announce an opportunity in our Information Technology group for a Lead Product Owner. In this role, you will spearhead product strategy and delivery for customer identity solutions, enrollment, access, and consent experiences, contributing to a secure and seamless digital interface for our customers. The Lead Product Owner will define the product vision and translate strategies into prioritized initiatives that maximize customer and business value. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring stakeholder alignment and clarity on priorities.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Vision, and Customer Value
- Define and continuously enhance a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with CHS objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather insights and validate needs, ensuring the product provides significant business value.
- Use customer feedback and performance data to make informed decisions on priorities and trade-offs.
- Effectively communicate the rationale behind priorities and align product outcomes with broader business goals.
Backlog Ownership and Delivery
- Prioritize and own the product backlog, ensuring tasks are clearly defined and focused on delivering high customer and business value.
- Lead the creation of epics and features, collaborating with analysts to break work into manageable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables by establishing acceptance standards and maintaining accountability for defect resolution.
- Coordinate release readiness and product launches by aligning stakeholders and communicating the value and outcomes of releases.
Continuous Improvement and Team Leadership
- Translate emerging risks and compliance needs into backlog priorities, ensuring they are appropriately addressed.
- Review metrics on delivery and product outcomes to guide ongoing improvement and enhance customer value.
- Mentor team members in product ownership practices, prioritization, and agile methodologies to boost team effectiveness.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to manage dependencies and support shared objectives.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in IT or consulting, including 3+ years in a product owner role in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to define product direction and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in agile product delivery and backlog management tools.
- Knowledge of customer discovery, persona development, and roadmap planning.
- Familiarity with release planning and product metrics.
- Experience coordinating dependencies across teams for complex initiatives.
Additional Qualifications
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications in product management or agile methodologies.
- Experience with customer identity and access capabilities.
- Ability to translate privacy, security, and compliance needs into product priorities.
- Familiarity with identity-related tools or vendor solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of software development processes, including scrum.
- Proficient in agile delivery tools and data-driven metrics.

Physical Requirements
- Up to 25% domestic travel required for customer meetings.
