About the Role
As a Senior GTM Engineer at Groupon, you'll be the architect of our revenue engine—designing and building the automated systems that power how we find, enrich, qualify and engage merchants across international markets. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role where you'll ship work that directly drives pipeline and revenue. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Data teams while maintaining deep ownership of Groupon's GTM technical infrastructure. Your work will enable our teams to operate at scale across multiple markets while maintaining operational efficiency and data quality.
Responsibilities
System Design and Automation
-
Design, develop, and optimize robust automated workflows across the GTM tech stack using Clay, Kubaru, Cloudingo, and Salesforce.

Build scalable agentic workflows in Clay to evaluate and enrich business and contact data at scale.

Create integrations connecting Clay, Salesforce, internal merchant assessment tools, and marketing automation tools.
Lead Management and Data Operations

Create real-time lead scoring engines to prioritize high-value opportunities
-
Build and maintain dynamic lead routing systems ensuring maximised conversion potential
-
Implement comprehensive deduplication workflows to maintain data quality across systems
-
Enhance Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) for customer acquisition and expansion motions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Data teams enabling common goal achievements and feedback integration
-
Evaluate, integrate, and manage new GTM tools to enhance our technology stack
-
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide feedback loops to sales and marketing teams
-
Support new market expansions with technical implementation
Must-Have Experience
-
5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or Revenue Operations
-
Expert-level proficiency building agentic workflows in Clay to evaluate and enrich business and contact data
-
Experience with AI models and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, etc.)

Deep expertise in Salesforce administration, reporting, and data architecture
-
Proven experience with lead scoring, routing systems and intelligent assignment logic

Strong deduplication workflow design and implementation expertise
-
Hands-on experience with API integrations, webhooks, and REST APIs
-
SQL proficiency for data analysis, pipeline building, and database queries
-
Python or any other preferred language scripting for custom automations beyond no-code/low-code capabilities
Nice-to-Have Experience
Advanced Tooling

Proficiency with iPaaS/automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n)

Real-time lead scoring engines using machine learning

Tableau skills for building dashboards and data visualizations

Experience working with data warehouse platforms (BigQuery, Teradata)

Marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Pardot/Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot)

Outbound orchestration platforms (Apollo, Outreach, Lemlist, Smartlead)
Domain Expertise
-
Cold email campaigns and outbound sales motions at scale
-
Experience with lead scoring models and ICP development frameworks
-
Multi-market or international GTM operations experience
-
Marketplace or e-commerce business model knowledge

Experience working with local merchants
