Job description

The Role: What You’ll Actually Do

You’ll be hands-on from Day 1, learning how to keep the nation’s favorite fleet on the road.

  • Level Up: Attend college and gain formal qualifications in automotive engineering.
  • Hands-on Training: Assist pro engineers with vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Own Your Space: Help manage the workshop, maintain high standards, and learn the tech behind the trucks.
  • Independence: Move from shadow-learning to taking the lead on tasks as you progress.

Are You the One?

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, tech-savvy (Google Workspace), and has a sharp eye for detail.

  • Must-haves: GCSE/Level 2 in Maths and English (or a genuine willingness to smash these during your apprenticeship).
  • DNA: If you’re honest, hardworking, and ready to flex, you’ll fit right in.

Your 6-Year Glow-Up

  • Years 1-3: VMU Apprentice (Learning the ropes)
  • Years 4-5: Junior LGV Mechanical Engineer (Gaining speed)
  • Year 6: Fully Qualified LGV Mechanical Engineer (The Pro)
