Senior Engineer-Roads & Highway

Key Responsibilities

• Design of roads, paths, and associated drainage systems
• Preparation of tender documents
• Quantity calculations and technical descriptions in accordance with applicable standards
• Project management
• Technical supervision and construction management during execution phase

You will also contribute to the further development of tools and methods and collaborate closely with the department manager and other disciplines within AFRY. In short, your daily work will involve great colleagues, professional challenges, and a high degree of influence.

We are looking for someone who is ready to take on the role of a specialist and technical sparring partner—someone who can maintain an overview, connect the dots, and drive progress across disciplines. You are structured, quality-conscious, and known for meeting deadlines and commitments.

You are a great fit if you:

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s or Bachelor’s)
• Have solid experience in road design, geometry, and drainage
• Are familiar with digital tools such as MicroStation and OpenRoads
• Have knowledge of AB18/ABR18 standards
• Have experience with tendering processes
• Are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken

You have several years of experience in the consulting industry, including project management of small to medium-sized projects, with at least 8 years of experience overall. You understand the importance of close communication with clients, colleagues, and suppliers, and thrive in an environment where collaboration and coordination are key.
