Performs required annual inspections for fire doors to ensure compliance with safety standards. Repairs and services "panic hardware" on doors to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems related to door hardware. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance requests in a timely manner. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Ensures records comply with healthcare, federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, and alarm systems as needed. Other duties as assigned. Installs, repairs, and services locks and related door hardware. Cuts new and duplicate keys from existing keys, patterns, or codes. Opens locks for which there is no key or existing combination. Maintains shop master key boxes for authorized personnel access.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field [Required]

• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies [Required]
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner [Required]
• Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches [Required]

• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills [Required]
Education:
• High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience [Required]
Field of Study:
• or Equiv
Work Experience:
• 3+ healthcare maintenance [Preferred]
• 3+ commercial experience [Preferred]
• 2+ healthcare experience [Preferred]
